Configuring my iPhone 4 for email

We recommend using IMAP instead of POP for accessing your incoming email. Pop configurations will often delete mail from the server, making it unavailable to other devices or computers you would use to access your email. That means your iPhone, computer, all devices you use to get email should be set with IMAP and not POP.

"Important note: In the description below, we use you@yourdomain.com and yourdomain.com as your email address and domain name. You need to substitute of course your real email address and domain name.

  1. Press to select "Settings" from your SpringBoard.
